Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip, has reportedly been hit by Israeli rocket artillery according to Palestinian officials. There are reports of casualties but an exact number is currently unknown.
The Al-Shifa Hospital, which is the largest medical complex in Gaza and serves as its central hospital, has apparently been struck by Israeli rockets, Palestinian officials are reporting.
The officials claiming the hospital was struck have mentioned casualties but no official number has been given. The hospital is however known to have been full over capacity, with makeshift tents being set up in the grounds to deal with the number of injured from the current Gaza conflict. As a result there are fears that, if the hospital had suffered a direct hit, the number of casualties would be very high.
