A landslide that hit the small Indian village of Malin has buried at least 40 houses and left around 150 people feared trapped beneath it.
The village of Malin, of Pune district in Maharashtra state, was hit by a landslide on Wednesday following heavy rainfall. Initial reports claim that at least 40 houses have been buried and 150 people are feared to be trapped beneath the landslide.
Rescue workers are reportedly on there way to the village, their numbers reportedly around 100, but are facing disruption due to the bad weather in the region. Landslides are common in India during the heavy rain of monsoon season, which runs between June and September.
