At least 30 people have died and dozens are missing following heavy flooding in the south of Morocco.
Flash flooding in southern Morocco have left at least 30 people dead, feared washed away, and dozens others missing. Heavy storms have swept across several areas of the African country, including the tourist hub Marrakesh.
Emergency crews were unable to reach many victims, roads and highways blocked off by the extreme flooding. The “exceptional” storms also affected the regions of Guelmim, Agadir and Ouarzazate, with a search and rescue operation underway.
