Three more Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in fighting with pro-Russian separatists in the past 24 hours, despite a ceasefire being in place since September.
Fighting between pro-Russian separatists and the Ukrainian Army has left three servicemen dead, despite there being a ceasefire between the two sides since September. These deaths bring the total number of soldiers killed since the ceasefire up to 150 men.
Ukraine lost four other servicemen on Saturday, with Kiev’s military confirming that the men died in combat. Both sides have blamed one another for violating the terms of the ceasefire, raising fears that it could entirely collapse.
More than 4’300 people have been killed overall since the separatist rebellions erupted in eastern Ukraine in April, according to reports by the United Nations.
