Houthis Free Two US Citizens, One Briton

Houthi fighters have released two US citizens, and a British citizen, that had been held hostage, for the past several months, in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a.

Yemen’s Houthi group has freed three Westerners held in the capital Sana’a for months, to be released by a delegation in neighbouring Oman, a source in the group said on Sunday.

The source said two US citizens and a Briton of Yemeni origin had accompanied a delegation heading to neighbouring Oman’s capital, Muscat, for talks with UN special envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, on efforts to end more than six months of fighting in the country.

The source said the Westerners would be freed in Muscat but gave no further details.
