An earthquake, measuring magnitude 6.0, has struck off Greek island of Lefkada.
A strong earthquake struck off the island of Lefkada on Tuesday morning, rattling all the Ionian islands and being felt as far as the Greek capital of Athens 385 kilometers away.
According to initial reports from the Geodynamic Institute, the tremor measured a magnitude of 6.0, with its epicenter located 11 kilometers off the island’s southwest coast at a depth of 5 kilometers.
Other agencies measured the quake being as strong as magnitude 6.7, on the Richter scale.
There were no initial reports of injuries or damage.
