Earthquake Strikes Off Papua New Guinea

An earthquake, measuring magnitude 6.3, has struck off the coast of Papua New Guinea.

An earthquake of magnitude 6.3 struck off the Pacific Ocean nation of Papua New Guinea on Tuesday, the US Geological Survey said.

The earthquake, about 169 km (105 miles) southeast of the town of Rabaul, hit at a depth of 46 km (29 miles), according to the USGS.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
