Airstrikes Kill Five Rescue Workers In Syria

At least five rescue workers have been killed, following airstrikes and rocket attacks, west of the city of Aleppo, in Syria.

Airstrikes and rocket attacks by Syrian government forces west of Aleppo killed five rescue workers overnight, a monitoring group and volunteers working nearby said.

The raids hit a center for the Syrian Civil Defence, also known as the “White Helmets”, who work as first responders in opposition-held territory where medical infrastructure has broken down.
