At least one person has died, and another is wounded, following a shooting at a high school, in the US state of Maryland.
One person has been killed and another wounded in a shooting at a high school in suburban Maryland, according to a statement by Prince George’s County Fire and EMS Department.
The suspect in the shooting was later identified by police as 62-year-old Eulalio Tordil.
Tordil allegedly opened fire on school grounds at High Point High School in Beltsville, Maryland, Thursday evening, shooting and killing his estranged wife Gladys Tordil, 44. Tordil also reportedly shot a male bystander who tried to diffuse the situation.
Fire department spokesman Mark Brady says the wounded person suffered injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
