Police have reportedly killed a man, though his cause of death has not been confirmed, during an opposition protest in Kenya.
Kenyan police have killed a man in the western city of Kisumu during an opposition protest, according to eyewitnesses. A local hospital said that a body had been brought in, but the cause of death had not been confirmed.
This is the fourth week of protests over the electoral commission. Last week, there were complaints of police brutality as officers were pictured assaulting demonstrators in the capital, Nairobi.
The opposition Cord alliance wants the current members of the electoral commission to resign ahead of next year’s presidential election.
