Gunshots have reportedly been heard around Presidential Complex in the Turkish capital, Ankara. Witnesses have said that the shots were fired by a military helicopter.
An explosion has also been reported in the capital, believed to have occurred at the state-run broadcaster, TRT, headquarters, which had previously been seized by the revolting military.
People are also reportedly pouring out onto the streets in the capital, heeding a call from President Erdogan calling them to the streets, rejecting an imposed military curfew.
