Two Injured Following Spain Shooting

At least two people are injured, after a man reportedly shot a woman, believed to have been his ex-wife, before turning the gun on himself, outside a shopping centre, in Spain.

A man has shot his ex-wife, and attempted to shoot his daughter, before turning the gun on himself outside a shopping centre in the Spanish city of Zaragoza.

The shooting took place at around 11 am local time on Friday after the woman and her daughter left a garage in their car, regional newspaper El Heraldo reported.

The man was reportedly waiting in another car from which he opened fire. According to witnesses, the man then turned the weapon on himself.

Police raced to the scene after reports of shots being fired, and found two people suffering severe injuries.

Earlier reports said a gunman had opened fire injuring two people before fleeing the scene. But police have now said the man shot his ex-wife in front of her daughter before shooting himself.

Both victims are in hospital and the man’s condition is said to be serious.
