Bomb Blast Kills 17 In Turkey

At least 17 people have been killed, and a further 27 wounded, following a bomb blast, at a military checkpoint, in southeast Turkey.

A car bomb that ripped through a military outpost in southeast Turkey on Sunday killed 17 people, including nine soldiers, the provincial governor’s office said in a statement on Sunday.

Cuneyit Orhan Toprak, governor of Hakkari province where the attack took place, said 27 people were wounded in the blast, of whom 11 were soldiers.
