Islamic State Car Bomb Kills 80 In Iraq

More than 80 people have been killed, and dozens wounded, following a car bomb attack, by Islamic State militants, at a gas station in Iraq.

A suicide bomber detonated his car bomb at a gas station in al-Hilla city, 100 km (60 miles) south of Baghdad on Thursday, killing at least 80 civilians and wounding dozens more, police and medical sources say.

The attack took place at gas station with an adjacent restaurant used by Iranian pilgrims to rest on their way back from the Arbaeen pilgrimage in the Shi’ite holy city of Kerbala.

Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.
